PROGRAM: Pulitzer-Prize-winning Cuban-American playwright Nilo Cruz pays homage to Miami, his part-time hometown, with Hotel Desiderium, a love story set on South Beach. Hotel Desiderium explores the stormy relationship between three young artists who forget reality as they plunge headlong into unexpected love. One is an immigrant from Latin America. Two others have lost their way as artists and have come to Miami for inspiration at an art festival. The story, Cruz says, involves misfits, the underestimation of immigrants, physical blindness, and those who can see but have no vision.
Playwright Nilo Cruz will stage and direct the play.

PARKING: MDCA has a parking lot directly behind the auditorium; access it from W. Flagler Street. The MDCA Black Box theater is also accessed from the back of the building.
